    CASE STUDY

    Whittington Heath Golf Club

    GSHP heating and cooling system with reversible heat pumps to provide heating and cooling to the new club house under construction. Heating load 60 kW and cooling load 25 kW and utilising a horizontal closed loop ground collector beneath the driving range area.

    Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC) - Rotherham

    800 kW full simultaneous heating and cooling system supplying several buildings via a district heat and cooling network. System uses 3 CIAT heat pumps and 52 nr 200 m deep closed loop boreholes drilled in to open cast mine infill under the main car park area.

    District open loop energy source of 800 kW capacity currently providing energy for the New Student Building commissioned in January 2019. System consists of 2 abstraction boreholes and one re-injection borehole and sophisticated borehole pump control system and monitoring for energy and water efficient operation and Environment Agency reporting. System provides source energy for various heat pump systems and provides passive cooling to the buildings cooling systems

    Victoria Shopping Centre - Nottingham

    An Open Loop heat rejection system to augment the shopping centres air cooled chiller system during optimal periods of ground water temperature for heat rejection. Total flow rate is 50 l/sec enabling 1.7 MW of total heat rejection. System comprises 2 abstraction boreholes and 4 injection boreholes and fully sealed and pressurised injection well heads.
