Domestic project in Bromsgrove. The clients 1950’s bungalow was running on a LPG boiler which we replaced with an 11.7kW GSHP system. The ground array consisted of 3 x 100m vertical bore holes. To achieve the lowest flow temperature we installed underfloor heating in the ground floor. As this was a retro fit, we grooved into the existing floor to ensure there was no build up.
The system has been running since 2018 is working exactly as designed and operating with very high efficiency. It provide all the space heating and domestic hot water. The properties only energy bill is electricity now so we installed a 7kWp solar pv system to contribute towards the running costs. We used the solar edge system with an optimiser behind each panel as there was a slight shading factor.
