Domestic project in Derbyshire. The client approached us at the Grand Designs show at planning stage for their new build project. Hex energy installed a bore hole ground array consisting of 2 x 110m bore holes. The heat pump provides all the space heating and domestic hot water. We also installed the underfloor heating which was all in screed. As the project its very well insulated we designed the UFH to run at 35 degrees flow temperature.
As part of the UFH we also install the primary feed and return pipework from the UFH manifolds back to the buffer tank. This enables us to have full control of the design ensuring the heat pump will also run at its most efficient. As this project was a new build, we installed a 10.8kw solar pv system with the GSE in roof kit so that it looks seamless against the slate roof. The PV array will contribute substantially to the running costs of the property.
