The system was running during COVID to maintain the building internal environment and has performed exactly as design expectations and in fact with a higher ground array temperature than design increasing the heating efficiency of the system. The heat pump consists of a Mastertherm heat pump that provides heating and cooling a slave unit to provide heating only using a sliding header arrangement and a chilled water and low temperature hot water buffer.
